brought the niece to macdonalds along ang mo kio avenue 3 this morning with the bf, after dropping her parents at jalan kayu for roti prata. this is not the first time im driving the car, but certainly one of the furthest. perhaps with the triangle displayed, other drivers were more lenient and didnt horn me at all today! hee.
actually, i have been practising my parking with my dad twice in the last 2 weeks, and this time, i managed to park quite successfully at macs. but its those kind of multi-story carpark with 3 million cars behind me, i think i will be sibei stress. hur hur.
however, as compared to a few months ago, where i tried to park head-first in another carpark, and had to do so many corrective actions, this time was so much better. the previous experience was quite traumatising. and i also conclude that reverse parking is so much easier than parking head-first!
next goal is to learn parallel-parking.. wonder how long that will take?

exactly 1 week ago, you said those 2 magical words, which brought you to a new chapter in your life.
and i know that from then on, you will be well taken care of, by the man who was right there for you from the beginning, is always there for you now, and will forever be there for you in the future.
it was a beautiful afternoon, and im so honoured to have been there to witness your tears of joy.
so, so happy for you darling.
=)
(on a side note relating to weddings, i realised that if i marry the bf next time, there will be some periods in the year where he can sleep in while i will have to go to work. how depressing.)

the bf and i grabbed a quick bite at macs while shopping yesterday afternoon, and so we were not too hungry at dinner-time. he suggested catching a movie, which i thought was quite a good idea, so we could have a late dinner and avoid the dinner crowd and then quickly head home to avoid all the people heading to town to countdown to the new year.
it was 5.30pm when we reached the cinema, and most shows were only left with the front row seats. we chose the 6pm bodyguards & assasins and found a seat nearby while waiting to head into the theatre.
while chatting about random stuff, the bf suddenly commented about his watch, that the battery had just been changed, and i noticed that the time on his watch showed 6.45pm.
for a split second, i wondered if the change of battery led to his watch running too fast, and i confirmed it with my own watch. and yes, it was 6.45pm already.
(i now realise that both our watches do not have the number markings on the face. and so, thinking that it was 5.30 when we bought the tickets, it was actually already 6pm. and the counter girl did not even say anything! tsk.)
i think the only consolation was that we still understood the story despite missing 40 minutes of it. plus, there was another couple who came in at 7.45pm. muahaha. (but of course, they could have just been coming back from the washrooms. dont rub it in thanks.)

i was chatting about random stuff with this guy when we discussed the topic of marriage (not to each other, of course).
since he was one year younger than me (and plus the fact that his gf was 2 years younger than him), i told him that there was no rush for him to get married, especially since he had just started working only.
he agreed with me, “unless something unexpected happens lah.“
i immediately thought of the scenario of him 中马票 (so that he has the money to get married), but i have a feeling that he had another idea of hitting the jackpot.
hur hur.
